SAN ANGELO - Lydia Palacios Martinez, 76, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in an area hospital. Service will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane Martinez, Griselda Martinez and Patricia Cardenas; sons David Martinez Jr., Mario Martinez and Hector Martinez, all of San Angelo; and sister Dora Jacques of Abilene.
FREDERICKSBURG - Lars Finn Usener, 40, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in a local hospital. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Schaetter Funeral Home Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Atley and Doris Usener of Fredericksburg; and sister Joy Lynn Clark of Las Vegas.
SAN SABA - Dexter Martin, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Howell-Doran Funeral Home. Service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home with burial in Richland Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include sons Rufus D. Martin of Bridgeport, and Tommy Dexter Martin of Austin; brother Dudley Martin of California; and sister Belle Martin of Louisiana.
FREDERICKSBURG - Delton Lee Kozielski, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at his residence. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Schaetter Funeral Home. Vigil will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the funeral home chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with entombment with full military honors at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline Pehl Kozielski; daughter Shirley Chenault; son Ronald "Butch" Kozielski, all of Fredericksburg; sisters Vernell Tatsch of San Antonio, and Evelyn Moritz of Fredericksburg; and brothers Newton Kozielski and Wesley Kozielski, both of Fredericksburg.
BIG SPRING - Irene Chick, 86, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in a local nursing home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the funeral home chapel with burial in Paris, Texas.
Survivors include her daughters, Lou Ellen DeMott of Burleson and Jennan Swafford of Houston; and son Douglas Chick of Athens.
BIG SPRING - Johnnie Hardyman, 80, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in a local hospital. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will military honors will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Survivors include his son, Jon Hardyman of Fort Stockton; daughters Jan Whitehead of Big Spring and Linda Berwald of Blythe, Calif.
FREDERICKSBURG - Jesse B. Sanchez, 68, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in a Kerrville hospital. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the Schaetter Funeral Home chapel. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Sanchez of Fredericksburg; daughter Diana Coleman of San Antonio; sons Jesse Sanchez II and Terry Sanchez, both of Fredericksburg; 13 sisters; and 11 brothers.
SAN ANGELO - Mary Zrubek, 77, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in a local hospital. Services are pending at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
SAN ANGELO - WIllie Miller Jr., 53, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at his residence. Services are pending at Johnson's Funeral Home.
